Jenae Chiles, MEd.
The Founder

​Jenae Chiles, a proud wife and mother of two, is the founder of Captivating Montessori School. With a wealth of qualifications and diverse experience, she has established herself as a respected professional in her field. Jenae is a Certified Early Childhood Teacher specializing in ages 3-6, endorsed by the American Montessori Society. Prior to dedicating herself to homeschooling her own children, she spent eight years teaching at The Montessori School of Anderson. In addition to her teaching experience, Jenae has amassed five years of expertise in Retail Management at Bilo. Jenae serves as the lead Educational sphere representative in the Becoming ABBAville Movement in Abbeville County.  Her educational achievements include a Masters of Education in Montessori Education (Early Childhood) from Lander University, earned in 2018. She also holds an Early Childhood Management Certificate from Tri-county Technical College, which she acquired in 2013. Jenae's undergraduate degree is a BS in Business Management from South Carolina State University, which she completed in 2010. 

Barbara Ervin, MEd.,
Officer

Barbara Ervin, MEd., is a highly experienced professional who has dedicated over 40 years to the field of Montessori education. With a strong commitment to fostering children's development, Barbara holds Montessori credentials at both the Early Childhood (3-6) and Elementary l (6-9) levels.

 

Having recently retired from her position as the Director of the Teacher Education Program at Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina, Barbara has made a significant impact on the preparation and training of future Montessori educators. Her leadership and expertise have contributed to the growth and success of the program. Throughout her career, Barbara has been a passionate advocate for the Montessori method, which emphasizes hands-on learning, independence, and individualized instruction. Her extensive experience and educational background in Montessori education make her a valuable asset to the field. Barbara Ervin's remarkable journey as an educator showcases her unwavering dedication and expertise in Montessori education. Her retirement from Lander University is a testament to her significant contributions to the field and her lasting impact on the preparation of Montessori teachers.

Greta Clinkscales Young, Vice Chair

Greta Clinkscales Young serves as the Vice Chair and holds various significant roles in her personal and professional life. As a devoted wife and mother, she prioritizes her family and cherishes her role as a parent to her daughter.

 

Professionally, Greta is the Executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse Pickens County, operating under the name The Parenting Place. In this capacity, she plays a vital role in leading efforts to prevent child abuse and provide support to families in Pickens County. Greta's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, which has equipped her with a strong foundation in managing and supporting individuals within organizations. Additionally, Greta is currently pursuing her MBA as a graduate student at Clemson University, further expanding her knowledge and skill set in the realm of business administration. Through her commitment to her family and her dedicated work in preventing child abuse and supporting families, Greta Clinkscales Young exemplifies a compassionate and driven individual. Her educational pursuits demonstrate her desire for personal and professional growth, and her role as Vice Chair showcases her leadership abilities and dedication to making a positive impact in the community.

Erin Barrick, 
Secretary

Erin Barrick is a dedicated individual who serves as a secretary while balancing her roles as a wife and homeschooling mom. With three beautiful girls under her care, she takes pride in providing them with a nurturing and educational environment.

 

In 2008, Erin obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Bryan College, equipping her with a solid foundation in understanding human behavior and cognitive processes. Her educational background enables her to approach her work with a thoughtful and empathetic perspective.

 

As a secretary, Erin demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. She efficiently manages administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of her workplace. Despite her busy schedule, Erin always finds time to prioritize her family's needs and actively participates in her children's education. Erin Barrick's commitment to her professional responsibilities, as well as her dedication to her family's well-being and education, showcases her admirable work-life balance and her determination to excel in all aspects of her life.

Jason Wilson, 
Officer

Jason is a devoted husband and father of three, who balances his family life with his role as a pastor and founder of multiple organizations in Anderson, S.C. With a deep sense of purpose, he has established Rejuvenate Church, the Rejuvenate Leadership Alliance, and its associated leadership school.

 

Jason is a visionary serves to cultivate and developing leadership skills among individuals from diverse backgrounds. Furthermore, he has established a leadership school that equips aspiring leaders with the knowledge and tools necessary to make a positive impact in their communities.

 

His dedication to his faith, his family, and his community is evident in his multifaceted role as a husband, father, pastor, and founder. His tireless efforts to create a thriving spiritual community and empower emerging leaders reflect his unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

Joshua Chiles, 
Officer

Joshua is a dedicated individual who wears multiple hats in his personal and professional life. He fulfills the roles of a loving husband and caring father to his two homeschooled children. Additionally, Joshua serves as the Chaplain of Erskine College, where he provides spiritual guidance and support to the college community.

 

Joshua's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management from Gardner Webb University, which he obtained in 2005. Building upon his passion for theology and spiritual growth, he pursued further education and earned a Master's of Divinity from Erskine College in 2017.

 

Through his diverse experiences and educational achievements, Joshua Chiles exemplifies a well-rounded individual who is committed to his family, faith, and the betterment of the academic community.

Linnie Garrett, 
Treasurer (CFO)

Linnie serves as the Treasurer (CFO) with a strong background in finance and accounting. With a Bachelor's degree in Accounting obtained from South Carolina State University in 2010, Linnie possesses a solid foundation in the field.

 

Outside of the professional realm, Linnie finds joy in activities such as skating, particularly the Cascade- Peace up A-Town down style, and coaching. These pursuits allow Linnie to engage in personal growth and share knowledge and skills with others. A favorite quote that resonates with Linnie is, “See the Vision, Make the Plan, Execute, Adjust, Execute, GIVE BACK, REPEAT! Life starts off as a solo journey but a positive/successful one doesn’t end that way. Always pour love and positivity in all things you do and watch it manifest into an overflow that will build your legacy." This quote reflects Linnie's belief in the power of vision, execution, and giving back to create a meaningful and impactful life.

 

With a combination of professional expertise, personal interests, and a philosophy centered on love and positivity, Linnie Garrett embodies a well-rounded individual committed to success, personal growth, and leaving a lasting legacy.

Christopher B. Thomas, Officer

Christopher holds a prominent position as an Officer, overseeing multiple roles in different organizations. As the Director of the GLEAMNS Dr. Benjamin E. Mays Historical Preservation Site, Christopher is entrusted with the responsibility of preserving and promoting the legacy of Dr. Benjamin E. Mays, a renowned historical figure.

 

In addition to his work at the preservation site, Christopher serves as the Senior Pastor of New Generation Outreach Ministry, located in Greenwood, South Carolina. Through his pastoral role, he provides spiritual guidance and leadership to the congregation.

 

Christopher's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from California Polytechnic State University, reflecting his deep interest in the subject. He further expanded his knowledge by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion and a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University. With his multifaceted expertise as a historical preservationist, pastor, and strong educational foundation, Christopher B. Thomas exemplifies a dedicated individual committed to preserving history, guiding souls, and advancing knowledge in both historical and theological realms.
