About CMS
Captivating Montessori School (CMS) is a Nonprofit Homeschooling Enrichment Community, that seeks to provide Montessori Education to support learning and social opportunities for children who are currently homeschooling. We believe in a holistic approach to education that nurtures each child's development in all aspects. Our team of educators aim to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop a love for learning. We believe that every child has the potential to succeed, and we are committed to helping them build confidence to reach their goals.
WHAT WE OFFER:
At CMS, we offer a three-day program option for children aged three to nine years old. Our classes are composed of multi-aged groups of children, specifically ages 3-6 and 6-9, which allows for a diverse and inclusive learning environment. We understand that children develop at different rates and have unique learning styles, which is why we strive to create a supportive and nurturing atmosphere that caters to each child's individual needs.
As CMS continues to grow, we will look to expand our program offerings to meet the evolving needs of our community. This includes the development of additional level options, which will provide even more opportunities for children to learn and thrive. Our experienced educators are dedicated to promoting a love of learning and helping children reach their full potential, both academically and socially. We believe that every child deserves a high-quality education, and we are committed to providing just that at CMS.
HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?:
At CMS, we take a unique approach to education by adhering to true Montessori methods. Our program is not based on any particular religion, and we strive to create an environment that supports every child's development from the very beginning. We believe that children learn best when they are in control of their own learning process, which is why we provide them with the necessary materials to explore and learn on their own.
The Montessori method emphasizes holistic personal development, which goes beyond academic achievement. We guide children to create peace around them for the common good of others, helping them gain an early appreciation of their ability to impact the world around them. We also encourage children to respect the differences of others, develop empathy, and understand the value of listening to and valuing others' ideas.
Our program is led by a certified American Montessori Society teacher who is dedicated to supporting and guiding each child's development. Additionally, we collaborate with parents to stay true to the Montessori approach and encourage them to support their child's learning at home. At CMS, we are committed to serving all homeschooling students, including those with disabilities. However, we can only effectively do this with the support of our staff, volunteers, and professionals. We strive to create an inclusive environment where every child can be successful.
